Scholarship Opportunity: Flagler County Historical Society 2026

The Flagler County Historical Society (FCHS) is officially accepting applications for its annual scholarship! This is a fantastic opportunity for students passionate about local heritage, the environment, or the roots of our community.

Are You Eligible?
The committee is looking for qualified students who demonstrate a strong interest in one or more of the following fields:

• History
• Agriculture / History of Agriculture
• Ecotourism

Application Requirements
To be considered for the award, applicants must submit a complete package containing:

• Completed Application Form
• Proof of Citizenship & Residency: Applicants must be U.S. citizens (naturalized citizens included) and have been a resident of Flagler County for at least one year.
• Note: A copy of your voter registration proves both; a driver’s license proves residency only.
• Two Letters of Reference: One personal (non-relative) and one professional (teacher, employer, church, or community leader). These must be mailed directly to the FCHS Scholarship Committee.
• Current Resume: Highlight your post-secondary academic history, employment, volunteer experience, and any awards or honors.

How to Apply
All materials must be received by March 31, 2026. Please ensure your application is complete, as incomplete submissions will not be reviewed.

Financial Need: This may be taken into consideration during the selection process.

Award Distribution: Recipients will be notified by letter. Scholarship funds are sent directly to the college or university where the candidate is enrolled or accepted.
