Matanzas High School Theater Presents

ALMOST, MAINE

Matanzas Theater Company caps its 2023-2024 season with the student-directed drama ALMOST, MAINE by playwright John Cariani. The play is comprised of nine short stories allowing our senior directing students the opportunity to guide their acting peers in creating a unique theatrical experience that is entirely student-produced. Senior Ayden Koppman serves as Associate Producer for the show, and the senior directors are Emanuela Hartman, Ayden Koppman, Winston Sejda, Parker Soltesz, and Nick Znascko. The prologue and epilogue of the show are directed by junior Kasandra Baker as part of her award-winning student directing project for Florida State Thespians.

Almost, Maine is a play about love and longing, friendship and isolation, melancholy and hope. The setting is a cold, clear, moonless night in the middle of winter in the mythical town of Almost, Maine.

The play will be presented in the Pirate Theater at Matanzas High School, 3535 Pirate Nation Way, Palm Coast FL 32137. Show times are as follows:

Wednesday, April 17 at 7pm

Thursday, April 18 at 7pm

Saturday, April 20 at 7pm

There will be no showing on Friday, April 19, so that our seniors may attend Grad Bash at Universal Studios. The Saturday night performance will be followed by a brief ceremony at which all of the seniors in Thespian Troupe 7108 will be honored.

Tickets are available for $10 at the door or through our website at pirates32137.booktix.com
