ConstructionThe MHS Construction program is working hand in hand with local businesses and the Home Builders Association to teach students the skills needed to meet the high demand for skilled labor in the construction industry.

Students begin by learning how to properly and safely use all hand and power tools required in the industry according to OSHA standards. As students progress in the program, they will be working towards NCCER common core certifications helping them earn higher wages once they leave high school.

Students that are in our four-year program learn many facets of what is done during the construction process of residential construction. Students get a good understanding of surveying, which helps in the forming and pouring of concrete. Students will form and pour concrete, frame buildings from wall to roof construction, sheetrock, cabinet installation, door and window installation, etc.

At MHS we pride ourselves in being a leader of the next generation of skilled labor and small business ownership.
