Law & Justice

The Matanzas High School Law & Justice Program affords students the opportunity to explore the varied and exciting field of law and criminal justice.

Students will experience a well-rounded view into law and justice careers, including law enforcement, corrections, forensic science, emergency dispatch, law, judges, paralegal, court reporting, and politics. Students will have the opportunity to earn Advanced Placement course credit, industry certification, participate in real-world scenarios such as Teen Court, officer ride alongs, job shadowing, and internships in many aspects of the criminal justice field.

Rising 9th and 10th grade students are eligible to apply as it takes three years to complete the program.

Acceleration Opportunities

Articulation is in place for DSC Courses including Intro to Criminology and Intro to Law. Students can earn the NALS Accredited Legal Professional Certification.
