Seniors, 


The School Counseling Team will be conducting Senior College & Career Prep Presentations in MHS US Government/Economics classrooms. 


Q: What if I don’t have a US Gov/Econ class at MHS? 

A: Students who do not have a semester 1 MHS US Gov/Econ class should reach out to their school counselor to set up a senior meeting. Your counselor will then send you a calendar invite, which will serve as your pass. 


Save the Dates! 

  • Week of Sept. 7th - Complete College & Career Prep - Pre Survey (Link located on PDF presentation slides) 

  • Mon Sept. 14th - School Counselor classroom visit and presentation (US Government/Economics classes)

  • Tues 9/15 - Tues 10/20 - All seniors will meet with their school counselor (transcript review, discussion of post grad plans, address questions and inquiries) 

  • Seniors that do not have a sem 1 MHS US Gov/Econ class - Reach out to your school counselor to set up a senior meeting 

    • Be sure to review the College & Career Prep Video and Slide Deck and complete the Pre survey before meeting individually with your counselor

  • MHS Guidance Page - Review for tools and resources - the College & Career Prep Video, Slide Deck and digital prep packet will also be posted on this page for reference


- SENIOR INFORMATION CHECKLIST -


  • Check the Senior Page and MHS socials regularly for important news and updates

    • Attend Senior Info Meetings and contact Ms. Alred (AlredB@flaglerschools.com) in room 6-152 or Ms. Graifer (GraiferS@flaglerschools.com) in room 1-202 for senior-related information

    • Verify that your email address, phone number, and address are correct in Skyward in order to receive important information - Parents can update information in their Parent Portal 



  • Have you had your senior pictures taken yet? If you would like senior pictures, please book your session directly through Cady Studios. If you would just like your picture in the yearbook, you can book an appointment for a headshot only - Cady Studios Roadshow will be in the MHS Theater Lobby on the following dates 9/16; 10/14; 11/12, and last call for the Roadshow on 12/9 



  • For information on school activities - Check Schoology, Parent Square, MHS Socials, and MHS website - Questions? Please contact the MHS Activities Director - Amanda Johnston at JohnstonA@flaglerschools.com



  • Planning on attending Daytona State College after you graduate or you would like to speak with a college adviser? See Ms. DeMottie and Ms. Lee, DSC Advisers, in the front office breezeway/Black Pearl during both lunches on the following dates

    • Wed. 9/16; Wed. 9/30; Wed. 10/14; Wed. 10/28; Thurs. 11/12; Wed. 11/18; Wed. 12/9; (dates/area subject to change) 

    • Keep an eye on Schoology/Parent Square for semester 2 DSC lunch visit dates! 


  • College & Career Fair - Friday Sept. 25th - 9am - 12pm - Palm Coast Community Center - Connects students and the community with businesses, entrepreneurs, colleges, universities, and career industries, Contact: Maryiotti Johnson (johnsonm@flaglerschools.com) 


  • Daytona State College Senior Admission Day - Thursday November 12th - 8:10am - 2:50pm - MHS Media Center -  DSC Advisers will be at MHS to assist seniors who plan to attend DSC after graduation with the application process, enrollment and course registration - Check Schoology/Parent Square and the MHS website for the form you will need to complete to schedule your appointment!


  • Senior Local Scholarship Info Meeting - Thursday Nov. 19th - 5:30pm - MHS - Check Schoology, Parent Square, MHS website and info from Flagler Ed Foundation for details) - Contact: Madison Asbill (AsbillM@flaglerschools.com)
